Join Beta

Quick instructions for registering a Beta account or joining with your existing account.

Beta releases may contain bugs!

What you need

  • A Fluora or Monos device already set up and linked to your account (or one you will pair after you create the account)

  • The Fluora mobile app

  • An email address you can access

You can use an existing Fluora account. You do not need a new one if you already have one.

1

Open the beta portal

  1. On a phone or computer, go to https://beta.fluoraplant.com

  2. Tap Join the Beta Program! to create an account, or tap Log in in the top right if you already have one

2

Create an account (new testers)

  1. Enter your first name and last name

  2. Enter your email address

  3. Choose a password. It must be at least 7 characters

  4. Tap Create account

Or tap Continue with Google to create the account with Google.

If you already have a Fluora account, tap Log in instead of creating a second one.

3

Log in (existing testers)

  1. Enter the email and password for your Fluora account, then tap Log in

  2. Or tap Continue with Google

Google sign-in only works if that Google email is already a Fluora account. If Google fails, create an account first or log in with email.

4

Join the program

Creating an account does not put you in beta yet. After you sign in you will see Join Beta.

  1. Check I have read and accept the privacy policy

  2. Tap Join Beta

That does two things: -Marks your account as a beta tester -Moves every device registered to you onto the beta firmware track (except deco / display units) You should then see a welcome screen. If a test is running, you will see Start Test. If not, you will see No active test.

5

Use Fluora as usual

  1. Keep using the Fluora mobile app with the same account

  2. Pair any new lamps to this account so they also land on the beta track

  3. When we publish a beta firmware, eligible devices on your account can receive it

  4. When a test is open, return to https://beta.fluoraplant.com, sign in, and tap Start Test (or Continue Test)

Taking a beta test

  1. Open the current test card

  2. Tap Start Test

  3. Work through the tasks and questions

  4. Answers save as you go

  5. Tap complete when you are done

If you leave mid-test, sign back in and tap Continue Test.

What to expect

  • Beta firmware can change, restart, or behave differently than production

  • Not every check-in will offer an update. The lamp only updates when that build is available and your device is eligible

  • You can keep using the lamp and app normally between tests

  • Feedback from tests goes to the Fluora team

Troubleshooting

I created an account but I am not in beta

Sign in and tap Join Beta. Accept the privacy policy first. The checkbox is required.

Google sign-in says it failed

On the log in page, Google only works for an existing Fluora account. Create an account first, or use email and password.

Password was rejected

Use at least 7 characters.

My lamp is not getting beta firmware

Confirm you tapped Join Beta, the lamp is registered to this same account, and you are signed into the app with that account. Then check for an update in the app. If it still says no update, the current beta may not be offered to that device yet.

I already have an account on the main Fluora site

Use that same email on the beta portal. Do not make a second account if you want your existing lamps moved onto beta.

I do not see a test

That is normal when no test is running. Check back later.
