# Quickstart

We frequently deploy firmware updates to fix bugs, improve performance, and introduce new features. It is important to make sure you keep up with the latest firmware to ensure the best experince possible with your device!

### In-App *(Preferred)*

This is the default and preferred method for updating your devices firmware. Color+Light routinely deploys firmware updates to your devices that will show up in the form of a notification in the app. You can simply press "Update" and the firmware update will automatically execute.&#x20;

### Recovery Mode

If your device is unable to connect to the WiFi or your Mobile App is unable to see the firmware update in the app, you can perform an firmware by putting the device into Recovery Mode, allowing you to install the firmware directly from your phone over local WiFi.&#x20;

### USB Cable

If all else fails, you can plug a USB cable directly into the micro-controller of the device and flash the firmware from the web application at <https://firmware.fluoraplant.com/update>.&#x20;
